MAKING YOUR CHARACTER
If you've taken in everything on this site and think you're ready, your backstory can be as long or as short as you'd like. Keep in mind though, our adventure is not about who you were, but rather who you will become through your choices and actions during the game. Because of this, it may be a good idea to focus more on your every day personality. Take your time making him/her.
IMPORTANT: What you MUST include in your backstory though is a time where a character helped you out of a bind, and it truly left a lasting impression. The character is female, and you are not related to them. You don't know them very well. You don't have to name them or anything, I already know who this character is. Just give me the important event where this character helped you in some way. This can be as large or small of a part of your backstory as you'd like.
REMEMBER:
Dead is dead in our game. So you should hopefully really care about your character, and not losing them.
I know a lot of you have played a lot of campaigns and characters by now. I love if you're thinking of trying something you never have before, but make sure it's something you will find fun for the duration of our adventure.
As far as RP'ing goes, and your character's personality, a lot of us (myself included) tend to fall back into what we are comfortable with. The sarcastic guy, the I-don't-care guy, etc. Try as hard as you can to really play a full character this time. Flaws, talents, idealogies, etc.
You do not need an alignment. As long as your actions are truly what you feel your character would do in a situation, it will be allowed. No evil characters or trolls though, it just doesn't work.
FINALLY:
If you feel like the nudges I gave on this site weren't enough, we can all get together this coming weekend so you can ask me or each other questions.
Feel free to dialogue with each other if some of you want to make characters who share a backstory, or to see what you all are thinking of.
Let's say character choices (name, race, class, age, physical description, and a few sentences about them) by Sunday, 7/22. Backstories by Sunday 7/29.
